UofL scores a higher rating in the 2026 Princeton Review's Guide to Green Schools

The University of Louisville is proud to announce that we have once again secured a place in the
2026 Princeton Review Guide to Green CollegesPrinceton Review’s 2026 Guide to Green Colleges
, with a nearly perfect Green Rating of 96 out of 99! This new rating marks our continued progress in advancing campus sustainability across the board from operations to curriculum, research, procurement, and everything the university does.

Having already appeared in the 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 editions, UofL is featured in the Princeton Review’s 2026 Guide to Green Colleges. In 2026, UofL increased our score by another point and received a nearly perfect Green Rating of 96 out of 99! This represents an increase in our rating from 2025 (95), 2018 (88) and 2017 (93).

Through this distinction, UofL is excited to attract more prospective students interested in sustainability. Our progress over the years is a testament to the on-going efforts or our students, faculty, and staff who have engaged in a long-term process of culture change and institutional transformation. We look forward to welcoming more students with a passion for environmental, social, and economic stewardship.
