Honors Sustainable Transportation students invite you to join us for a relaxing, car-free and carefree afternoon in the great outdoors, where good company and fresh air await!
Bring any activities you want to participate in! There are tennis courts, various grass spaces, and a playground.
Central Park is an urban gem and one of Louisville's historic Olmsted Parks, designed by the same landscape architects as New York City's Central Park.
It's between 4th & 6th Streets, just a half mile north of Cardinal Blvd. From Cardinal Towne, it's a 6-minute ride on TARC Route 4, 3-minute bike ride, or 13-minute walk north on 4th Street. UofL students, employees, and retirees can always ride TARC free with the Token Transit app:
- Download the app from the Apple App Store and Google Play. You will receive an email from orders@mail.tokentransit.com, with the subject line “Redeem Your Transit Pass for TARC.”
- From your mobile device, tap the Token Transit app icon in the email.
- Tap "Redeem" in the Token Transit app to finish adding the pass to your app. This will store your pass under “Stored Passes.”
- In the “My Passes” section of the Token Transit app, you will see your inactive pass under “Stored Passes.” To activate the pass, tap “Tap to use this pass.” Your active pass is now ready to use! Simply scan the pass from your phone over the card reader when you board any TARC bus on any route anytime
