Still time to join the Cards Commuter Challenge! - over 8,000 car-free miles logged

2022 Cards Commuter ChallengeAs we near the end of the Cards Commuter Challenge on September 30th, UofL students, faculty, and staff have logged 8,070 miles over 854 car-free trips, mitigating 4,374 pounds of carbon pollution while saving $3,170, and burning 61,437 calories. Congrats to our 4th $50 weekly winners:

  • Student Umaina Umair, rocked our Carpool Week! challenge last week and logged 12 carpool trips totaling 119 miles, plus 4 trips on foot!
  • ULPD staffer Jessi Stivers decided to leave the driving to TARC last week, and logged 12 trips on transit, racking up 45 miles of carefree, climate-controlled, wifi-enabled comfort.

It’s not too late to join them in the Cards Commuter Challenge 2022! Simply leave the car at home and try getting around via walking, biking, transit, carpool, or telecommuting. Each car-free trip you log at UofL's Cardinal Directions trip-finding and carpool-matching platform increases your chances of winning cash prizes - including our $250 Grand Prize!
