"Freed Between the Lines": A Conversation with University Libraries
This session will delve into the rich history of the Right to Read. An overview of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which protects the freedom of speech will be provided, and contemporary issues like book banning and censorship will be discussed. We will also explore the current political landscape for libraries and their role in supporting social justice. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session, offering participants an opportunity to engage directly with the topics discussed. Speakers include: Professor Latisha Reynolds, Asst.
