UofL's Sustainability Council invites the campus community to volunteer for a community tree planting, just one mile northeast of the SAC.
This service project is organized by TreesLouisville as a part of Tree Week 2025 and it will be their first tree planting of the planting season.
Together we will install over 30 new trees around Shelby Academy and Preston Park including mulching, staking, and watering.
In addition we will help our previously planted trees thrive by adding mulch around their base.
No experience necessary. Please make sure to wear clothes that can get dirty and closed toed shoes. Bring a full water bottle and protection from the elements. All else will be provided by TreesLouisville.
This is a UofL Sustainability Week event!
