To mark the 40th anniversary of the UofL Board of Trustees’ vote to divest from companies doing business with apartheid South Africa, UofL's Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research will host this panel to highlight the experiences and reflections of activists involved with Students Against Apartheid – the group that led the divestment campaign on campus in the 1980s.
Panelists will be in conversation with faculty and student researchers who have been collecting archival material and oral histories about anti-apartheid activism in Louisville in the 1970s and 80s.
