UofL partners with Louisville Water Co. to promote tap over bottled water in the BAB

New places to fill-up on the U of L campus

For University of Louisville students heading back to the classroom this semester, it’s now even easier to get back to the tap! Louisville Water has partnered with the university since 2015 in an effort to promote tap water, healthy living, and sustainability on campus with branded water bottle fill stations. This year there are five new places where students can fill up with award-winning Louisville Pure Tap™ inside the Belknap Academic Building (BAB).

As the newest building on campus, the BAB boasts high-tech classrooms, state-of-the-art labs, and plenty of study space. It is an ideal spot to remind students to stay hydrated while hitting the books. The human brain is 75 percent water, and proper hydration is key for focus, critical-thinking, and memory. Fortunately for the Cardinals, it’s easy to prep for success… just turn on the faucet or fill up at a bottle fill station and enjoy brain-boosting water that is ranked among the top in the nation.

The bottle fill stations inside the BAB add to growing list of 17 Louisville Water-sponsored hydration stations around UofL’s campus. These units have helped the university to go green – saving over 1.5 million plastic bottles from going to the landfill. Louisville Water is excited to continue growing our partnership with UofL, promoting healthy hydration, and encouraging students to #FillDrinkRepeat!
