On this week's edition of Sprouts: Radio from the Grassroots, your host, Dr. Justin Mog (UofL's Assistant to the Provost for Sustainability Initiatives), sits down with freelance environmental reporter, Madeline Ostrander, to discuss her latest article appearing in the Jan/Feb 2018 edition of Sierra magazine, entitled "Can We Talk About The Weather: In Minnesota, rural climate dialogues get people across the political spectrum to discuss global warming. Her reporting reveals hopeful signs that people from across this countrys growing political divide can find ways to have transformative, meaningful conversations about the most pressing crisis facing humanity. Madeline has served as a contributing editor for Yes! magazine, and her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Science, Al Jazeera America, The Nation, High Country News, The Sun Magazine, Undark Magazine and numerous other publications.
