Dr. Peter Agre, MD shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 2003, with Roderick MacKinnon for his work in the discovery of water channels in cell membranes. He has served as Professor of Medicine and Biological Chemistry at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, President of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and Vice Chancellor of Science and Technology at Duke Medical Center.
