Join the Residential Initiative for Service and Engagement (RISE) LLC to live alongside students who share your passion for community service and exploration. Through this community, you’ll volunteer with local nonprofits, enjoy Louisville’s vibrant amenities, and support local businesses. The RISE LLC is perfect for students at any level seeking a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to making the world a better place through service and engagement at local, national, and international levels. Engage in service projects on and off campus while exploring your new Kentucky home through monthly events at local parks, nonprofits, restaurants, and organizations. As a member, you’ll also gain premier access and discounts to service-based programs coordinated by the UofL Office of Service Learning and Civic Engagement. Whether you’re interested in nonprofit work, public administration, international relations, or any field that values experiential learning, this community offers meaningful opportunities to build lasting relationships and create positive change. There is no required course for this community; however, experiential learning opportunities such as seminars, lunch and learns, Alternative Service Breaks (ASBs), and International Service Learning Programs (ISLPs) will be offered throughout the year.
