Service Desk Information

Our service desk is staffed by our Conference Assistants (CAs). Services provided include lockouts, campus maps, reporting maintenance concerns, building access/key issues, and answering questions about our campus.  

The service desk is open 24 hours a day at Belknap Village South.

Check-in and Out Procedures

Check-ins are held in your assigned residence hall between 3:00-6:00 PM on your scheduled arrival day, with UofL staff available to assist as needed. Alternatively, your group’s conference coordinator may pick up keys outside of the check-in window from our 24-hour service desk.  Valid identification is required and must match the roster information provided by your group coordinator. 

Check-outs are between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. at your assigned residence hall. Before leaving, dispose of all trash in the designated trash room, return all furniture to its original placement, and make sure you’ve packed all personal belongings. Return your building and room keys to your building’s front desk, and report any damages or lost keys before or at the time of check-out. Please note that guests who fail to check out by 11:00 a.m. may be charged for an additional night.

The University of Louisville has residential options to accommodate those with disabilities. If you would like to request a housing accommodation, please contact the Disability Resource Center (askdrc@louisville.edu) for more information on how to best accommodate during your Conference Housing experience.  

In accordance with UofL’s Service Animal Policy, approved service animals are permitted in residence halls. All service animals must be reviewed and approved by the Disability Resource Center prior to arrival.  

Parking

Parking on UofL’s campus requires a valid permit for all Conference Housing guests with vehicles. Pay-to-Park lots are also available throughout campus for short-term or daily parking needs.

Campus Resources

Recreation/fitness center access: The Student Recreation Center (SRC) is a 128,000-square-foot fitness center for UofL’s Belknap Campus. This center includes multiple group fitness studios, 6 basketball courts, a gaming area, 14,000 square feet of strength training, an indoor MAC court, a golf simulator, racquetball courts, and more!  Summer membership is available upon request. Please call the SRC at (502) 852-7850 if you are interested in purchasing a membership. 

Campus Bookstore: The UofL Campus Bookstore offers a wide selection of Cardinal gear and merchandise, as well as basic essentials you may need during your stay. Whether you’re looking for UofL apparel, gifts, or everyday items, the bookstore has you covered. Regular hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm, though hours may vary during the summer months. If you have any questions regarding the campus bookstore, reach out to their office at (502) 852-6679. 

Meeting rooms, classrooms, auditoriums: UofL offers a variety of rental spaces across our Belknap campus to accommodate conference needs of all sizes. These spaces are available not only within the residence halls but throughout campus, providing flexible options for workshops, lectures, and group activities.  Please email sac-res@louisville.edu if interested in reserving space in the Student Activities Center. If you are interested in reserving spaces within our residence halls, please visit our Accommodation and Rates page.

Natatorium: The Ralph Wright Natatorium features an eight-lane, 50-meter competition pool with a depth ranging from 4-18 feet. Please contact (502) 852-0948 for more information about reserving and utilizing the natatorium. 

Dining & Catering: The University provides a wide range of dining options to meet the needs of conference guests. Restaurants located in the Student Activities Center (SAC) serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 7:00am – 5:00pm, offering convenience access to a range of popular meal choices such as Subway, Chick-fil-A, and Eiffel Tower Pizza. For groups seeking more flexible dining times or customized menus, UofL Catering features an extensive selection of meal options, including dietary-friendly accommodations and expanded service hours to fit your schedule. Belknap Village North (BVN) Check-In

Street Address: 120 E. Brandeis Ave, Louisville, KY 40208.

Recommendation: If using Google Maps, please plug in the University of Louisville Cultural Center (120 E. Brandeis Ave, Louisville, KY 40208). The Cultural Center is housed inside Belknap Village North.

Directions: The Belknap Village North (BVN) Service Desk is located on the first floor of the building. To reach the North Entrance, turn left between the School of Music and Unitas Tower (with duPont Manual on your right). Drive down First Street, turn left onto E Brandeis Avenue, and turn right into the E Brandeis Avenue Visitor Pay Lot. The BVN service desk is just inside the entrance.

Parking: The E Brandeis Avenue Visitor Pay Lot.

Belknap Village South (BVS) Check-In

Street Address: 120 E Barbee Ave, Louisville, KY 40217.

Directions: The Belknap Village South (BVS) Service Desk is located on the first floor of the building. Turn left into the North Entrance, directly between the School of Music and Unitas Tower (duPont Manual will be on your right). BVS is located on Centennial Walk, just past the Student Activities Center. Service desks are located immediately inside the entrance.

Parking: The E Brandeis Avenue Visitor Pay Lot.

Unitas Tower (UTT) Check-In

Street Address: 1901 S 1st St, Louisville, KY 40208.

Directions: The Unitas Tower Service desk is located on the first floor of the building. Turn left into the North Entrance on First Street, directly between the School of Music and Unitas Tower (DuPont Manual High School will be on the right). The service desk will be immediately straight ahead when entering.

Parking: The E Brandeis Avenue Visitor Pay Lot.

Bettie Johnson Hall (BJH) Check-In

Street Address: 401 W Cardinal Blvd, Louisville KY, 40208.

Directions: The Bettie Johnson Service Desk is located on the first floor of the building, directly to the right. Cross through the fourth traffic light at Fourth Street and Cardinal Blvd (BJH will be on the right).

Parking: The parking lot is behind the residence hall.

Kurz Hall Suites (KHS) Check-In

Street Address: 1900 S Fourth St, Louisville, KY 40208.

Directions: The Kurz Hall service desk is located on the first floor of the building. When going down Fourth Street, turn right at the traffic light at Fourth St and Cardinal Blvd.

Parking: Park in the Kurz and Bettie Johnson Hall lot.

Community Park Suites (CPS) Check-In

Street Address: 2033 S Fourth St, Louisville, KY 40208.

Directions: The Community Park service desk is located on the first floor of the building. CPS is directly across from the Student Recreation Center (SRC).

Parking: Since CPS does not have a designated parking lot, it is recommended that you park in the lot between Kurz and Bettie Johnson. When going South down Fourth Street, turn right at the traffic light at Fourth St and Cardinal Blvd.

Louisville Hall Suites (LHS) Check-In

Street Address: 318 W Brandeis Ave, Louisville, KY 40208.

Directions: The Louisville Hall service desk is located on the first floor of the building, directly to the left of the entrance. LHS is across the street from Kurz Hall.  From Fourth Street, turn onto W Brandeis Ave.

Parking: Since LHS does not have a designated parking lot, it is recommended that you park in the lot between Kurz and Bettie Johnson. When going South down  Fourth Street, turn right at the traffic light at Fourth St and Cardinal Blvd.
