Welcome Statement

The University Housing and Resident Experience (UHRE) staff welcomes you to the University of Louisville and to campus living. Our mission is to promote a safe, convenient, inclusive and healthy living-learning environment, provide opportunities that engage students, facilitate student and faculty connections, and encourage student success.

Residential Responsibility

Residents are responsible for their actions. Living in a campus community requires maturity, accountability, and good judgment. The policies outlined in this document empower University Housing and Resident Experience to manage behavior, modify agreements, and take appropriate actions when policies are violated. These actions include, but are not limited to, restriction of privileges such as visitation. Residence hall staff are responsible for addressing resident behaviors that are contrary to policy. Our goal is to help residents make better decisions by calling attention to a resident's behavior and potential consequences, thereby preventing future incidents.
