Metropolitan College (MC) is an educational benefit available to eligible 3rd shift part-time employees at UPS Worldport in Louisville, KY. The Metropolitan College Themed Community provides new and prospective MC participants the opportunity to reside with other students with nightshift work schedules at UPS.
For additional information about Metropolitan College, visit metro-college.com, contact the MC staff at AskMetro@kctcs.edu, or stop by the MC office on the lower level of the Houchens Building between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Note: The Metropolitan College Program does NOT cover the cost of housing. MC only covers the cost of tuition. Housing costs are the financial responsibility of the student
Location: Kurz Hall Suites (FYF) and University Pointe (UL)
Advisor: Haley Zoeller
- Social activities that allow students to engage with other Metropolitan College students and the campus community.
- Live with students who have a similar schedule to allow for less interrupted sleep schedules and possible carpooling opportunities.
- Live on a floor with housing staff who are knowledgeable of Metropolitan College students' needs.
- Facilitation of community engagement among fellow Metropolitan College students.
- Access to alternative non-Themed Community housing options during the summer and over the institutional closing periods (application required).

First-Year (FY) Requirements
- Students who are in their FIRST YEAR at UofL.
- And meet MC eligibility requirements (more info):
- To utilize MC benefits at the University of Louisville (UofL), you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 or higher (GED 660).
- Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher (GED 600) and a 21 ACT/1060 SAT composite or Superscore.
- 60 transferable college credit hours or an associate degree.
Upper-Level (UL) Requirements:
- Upper-Level (UL) Requirements:
- Students who are in their SECOND YEAR at UofL.
And meet MC eligibility requirements (more info):
- To utilize MC benefits at the University of Louisville (UofL), you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 or higher (GED 660).
- Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher (GED 600) and a 21 ACT/1060 SAT composite or Superscore.
- 60 transferable college credit hours or an associate degree.
**NOTE: Students who are current FY residents get priority on UL beds.
- To utilize MC benefits at the University of Louisville (UofL), you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Apply for MC Themed Community Housing when submitting the main UofL Housing Application.
- Complete all steps to become an MC participant at UofL, including meeting the MC UofL admissions criteria, as documented on our Prospective Student Checklist.

- Advisor Brief Biography: I've been at the University of Louisville since 2022 and recently joined the Metropolitan College team as a Student Success Counselor. I completed my Master of Arts in Anthropology in 2023 at the University of Louisville. Outside of work I enjoy attending concerts, being outdoors, and reading as many books as I can.
- Advice for the LLC/TC Students: While living on campus, try to utilize all the campus resources! There are so many great organizations, staff, and opportunities to build community.
