How to Submit a Second-Year Live-On Exemption Form

    Go to the University Housing website

    Select the Cards Nest Housing Portal button.

    Log in using your University credentials and complete Duo authentication.

    From the red navigation bar, select Forms and Requests.

    • If you do not see this option, complete the GDPR/FERPA Consent Form first.

    From the dropdown menu, choose Live-On Requirement Exemption Process.

    Select Save & Continue.

    Click Continue on the right-hand side of the screen.

    Review the instructions, then select Save & Continue.

    Review the next page and select Second Year Student from the dropdown menu.

    Select Save & Continue.

    On the Exemption Reasons and Documentation page:

    • Review the information provided.
    • Select the Second Year Exemption Request Letter link.

    Print the form and complete it.

    Take a clear photo of the completed form.

    Select your Exemption Reason from the dropdown menu.

    Provide a summary in the Exemption Reason Explanation field.

    Select Proceed to Documentation Step.

    Upload your completed form using the file upload area.

    Select Save & Continue.

    Confirm submission:

    • If you see a confirmation message that your request was received, your submission is complete.
