How to Submit a First-Year Live-On Exemption Form

1Go to the University Housing websiteUniversity Housing about

2Select the Cards Nest Housing Portal button.

3Log in using your University credentials and complete Duo authentication.

4From the red navigation bar, select Forms and Requests.
If you do not see this option, complete the GDPR/FERPA Consent Form first.

5From the dropdown menu, choose Live-On Requirement Exemption Process.

6Select Save & Continue.

7Click Continue on the right-hand side of the screen.

8Review the instructions, then select Save & Continue.

9Review the next page and select First Year Student from the dropdown menu.

10Select Save & Continue.

11On the Exemption Reasons and Documentation page:
- Review the information provided.
- Select the First Year Exemption Request Letter link.

12Print the form and complete it.

13Take a clear photo of the completed form.

14Select your Exemption Reason from the dropdown menu.

15Provide a summary in the Exemption Reason Explanation field.

16Select Proceed to Documentation Step.

17Upload your completed form using the file upload area.

18Select Save & Continue.

19Confirm submission:
- If you see a confirmation message that your request was received, your submission is complete.
