J. Allen Lamb & Edward S. Pocock III Foundation in partnership with the Southern Police Institute is affording opportunities for graduates of SPI’s Administrative Officers Course (AOC) for educational scholarships to assist them in pursuing undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Criminal Justice at the University of Louisville Department of Criminal Justice.
Criteria for the 129th AOC Alumni Scholarship:
- A scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to an eligible applicant. The scholarship will be applied towards the recipient’s tuition costs for one semester for an AOC graduate pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Louisville, College of Arts & Sciences, Department of Criminal Justice.
- The applicant/recipient must be a graduate (alumnus/alumna) of the Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officers Course (AOC). Primary consideration for this scholarship will be given to alumni of SPI’s 129th AOC. In the event that no eligible students meet the aforementioned criteria, consideration will be given to all other alumni of SPI’s Administrative Officers Course.
- The application must be from the applicant and demonstrate fiscal need for the scholarship funds and/or the benefit of the scholarship funding to the applicant, as an alumnus/alumna of SPI’s Administrative Officers Course (AOC).
- Recipients shall be selected, through a competitive process, coordinated by the Southern Police Institute. Selection shall be determined by a committee consisting of one faculty member of the University of Louisville, Department of Criminal Justice, one Southern Police Institute administrator, and a representation of the J. Allen Lamb & Edward S. Pocock III Foundation.
