Pharmacy Benefit

Express Scripts, the company managing your prescription drug benefit, provides 24-hour customer service, web-based drug information, and an integrated mail/home pharmacy service. You will pay a percentage of the cost of the prescription, with a minimum and maximum co-payment.

 

Prescription Benefits

There is one universal prescription benefit for all U of L health plans. You will receive a separate prescription benefit identification card that you must present to your pharmacist at the time of service. Enrollment in the prescription plan is automatic when you enroll in any health plan.

Formulary

The Express Scripts formulary for U of L is available online at www.express-scripts.com. This site may be used to help you estimate your pharmacy costs as well as assist you with exploring ways to save money. You may also locate pharmacies near you that are in the Express Scripts network using this tool.

 

Express Scripts Pharmacy Home Delivery

Select Home Delivery – Home Delivery is encouraged after two fills on maintenance medications defined by Express Scripts Pharmacy (list of  Maintenance Medications), unless the patient elects to opt-out of the program at either a medication or member level. Members who choose to remain filling at a retail pharmacy will be issued 365 days to do so. Annually, the member must actively choose to elect Home Delivery or Retail.

The choice is yours. You can choose Home Delivery or if you decide not to participate in Home Delivery and wish to continue using a retail pharmacy to fill your maintenance medications, please contact the Kentucky RX Coalition, either by phone at 855-218-5979 or E-mail at kyrxcoalition@uky.edu with your decision. You may also choose Home Delivery from Express Scripts Pharmacy by visiting StartHomeDelivery.com

How to Fill Your Prescription at a Retail Pharmacy

Present your Express Scripts  identification card at a participating pharmacy in the Express Scripts national network.
