Miguel S. Daccarett, MD, FAAOS

Dr. Daccarett is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in orthopedic trauma and sports medicine. He earned his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá.   Dr. Daccarett completed his residency training in orthopedics surgery at El Bosque University/University of Nebraska (5th pathway). He then completed fellowships in Trauma at the University of Louisville, Oncology at the University of Florida, and Sports Medicine at Harvard University.

Dr. Daccarett has a special interest in the treatment of high-energy trauma including fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, fractures of the upper and lower extremities and fractures of the hip, knee and ankle, as well as complicated fracture malunions and non-unions and bone infections. Dr Daccarett has a special interest in hip preservation surgery for the young adult that wants to avoid an early hip replacement including surgical dislocation of the hip for cartilage transplantation (Mega OATS) and osteotomies around the hip joint.

Dr Daccarett is passionate about resident training and education and frequently participates in national and international courses. He is actively involved with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, AO North America and the Orthopedic Trauma Association.
