David E. Tate, Jr., MD
Dr. Tate earned his medical degree and completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He then completed an arthritis fellowship with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, and a hand surgery fellowship with the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery in Louisville. Dr. Tate is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a certificate of added qualification in surgery of the hand. In addition to offering surgical and nonsurgical care for injuries and conditions affecting the upper extremities, Dr. Tate has special interests in treating arthritis, Dupuytren’s contracture, nerve compression and fractures and dislocations of the elbow and wrist.
Away from the office Dr. Tate enjoys spending time with his children, long distance running, reading, music and studying languages.
