Jiyao Zou, MD
Dr. Zou received his medical degree from Shandong Medical University, Jinan, Shandong, China and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at The 89th Hospital of PLA, Weifang, Shandong, China. He completed three fellowships in Orthopaedic Trauma, University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY, Hand and Microsurgery, Cristine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery, Louisville, KY and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, UPMC Center for Sports Medicine, Pittsburg, PA. Dr. Zou specializes in shoulder/knee pain and injuries; hand/wrist/elbow injuries and chronic conditions. Dr. Zou does various limb salvage procedures: skin coverage for open/nonhealing wound, fracture nonunion/bone defect repair, nerve/tendon/functional muscle transfer for peripheral nerve injury etc. He was awarded Teacher of the Year 2020, presented by the Residents of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Louisville.
