David Seligson, MD
Dr. Seligson took Orthopaedic Residency training in the Harvard Combined Program and became interested in medullary nailing of fractures after military service in Vietnam. In his first faculty position at the University of Vermont he introduced reamed intramedullary fixation into clinical practice. As Professor of Orthopaedics at UofL, he has collaborated with the members of the Küntscher Society for Intramedullary Nailing and subsequently became its President for many years. He has written a textbook on intramedullary nailing and has lectured frequently in the U.S., South America, and Europe about techniques for fracture fixation using medullary nails.
