TRC PROJECT LAUNCH EVENT, JUNE 27

Kent School of Social Work

Kent School faculty members, Drs. Shantel Crosby and Jennifer Middleton, along with project coordinators Samantha Revill, Tekea Minnis and Andreana Bridges, presented the findings from their community needs and resources assessment at the Trauma Resilient Communities (TRC) project launch held at the Waterfront Botanical Gardens, June 27.

The Healing Project, a $4 million SAMHSA grant funded project, will help shape the services in communities that have been impacted by violence, especially Latinx and African communities in the Louisville Metro area. The project is in partnership with the Louisville Metro Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods, La Casita and the Somali Community Center.

Dean Miller and Dr. Anita Barbee attended the launch event to support our Kent team members.
