Housing Case Manager
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Housing

Overview:
House of Ruth is a 33-year-old nonprofit HIV/AIDS services organization with a mission of strengthening lives for those affected by HIV/AIDS. We do this by offering housing and support services with a holistic focus on low-income individuals who are HIV-positive, as well as their family members who count on them for financial and emotional support.

The successful candidate is a hands-on problem solver who takes the job duties very seriously but is able to find humor in the day-to-day, sometimes unpredictable occurrences of a nonprofit that provides direct services to an underserved client population.
Job Summary:
Assists individuals in gaining and maintaining permanent housing and providing ongoing clinical-focused case management supports needed to maintain a stable living environment. Uses the principles of Housing First, person-centered care, and strengths-based case management, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction.
Qualifications:
- Master’s in social work or related degree required.
- State certification required. At minimum, Certified Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist-Associate.
- Valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation required.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts individual assessments and develops service plans to overcome barriers to gaining and maintaining safe, stable housing.
- Conducts in-home visits and coordinates services to assist individuals in gaining and maintaining safe, stable housing.
- Assists individuals in locating safe, stable housing by conducting apartment searches and acting as liaison between landlords and individuals.
- Accompanies individuals and/or provides transportation to service providers if needed.
- Provides crisis intervention if needed.
- Documents all service activities.
- Acts as member of House of Ruth team and participates in daily functions and agency responsibilities.
- Additional, selected responsibilities or tasks to be performed from time to time may be required, as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Physical exertion requirements other than routine, e.g., off- and on-loading, carrying, lifting, or other movements related to the work of the position, will be undertaken with the advice of the supervisor.
Compensation and Benefits:
$50,000 -- $55,000 annually based on experience

Description: The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.
The Administrative Office of the Courts, Office of Statewide Programs, Department of Specialty Courts has an immediate need for a Behavioral Health Liaison in based Jefferson County but will also serve Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Henry, Oldham, Trimble, Carroll, Grant, Gallatin, Boone, Kenton, Owen, Pendleton, and Campbell Counties.
Characteristics of the job: Expand and improve judicial response to mental and behavioral health, co-occurring, substance abuse disorders.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate state-level stakeholders across systems to strategically support a judicial system of care.
- Perform on-going state-level statutory and policy review to facilitate systemic change and improve access for court involved adults and children.
- Provide technical assistance, support, and training to court-based programs such as Specialty Courts,
- Pretrial, and Family and Juvenile Services.
- Interact and communicate with various groups and individuals such as the justices, judges, county and commonwealth attorneys, public defenders, department of corrections personnel, law enforcement personnel, treatment providers, legislators, justice and public safety representatives, national associations, committee representatives and the public.
- Inform changes on treatment network programs, services, and opportunities.
- Develop reports, publications, resources related to the system of care.
- Develop curriculum and provide training to elected, court personnel, and court-community partners.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in related field
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: (2) years of specialized experience
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Associate’s degree and Three (3) Years of Specialized Experience
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Related experience must be in treatment providers and evidence-based practices for Mental and Behavioral health, substance abuse disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders. Preferred licensure: CADC or LCADC
Working Conditions: Statewide travel is required
