Mark your calendars for the December installment of Louisville Literary Arts' InKY Reading Series, featuring Bernard Clay and Lana Helm.

Bernard Clay is a Louisville, Kentucky, native who received an MFA in creative writing from the University of Kentucky Creative Writing Program and is a member of the Affrilachian Poets collective. His work has been published in various journals and anthologies. He currently resides on a farm in eastern Kentucky. English Lit is his first book.

Lana Helm is a different kind of animal. She writes with no abandon, selects an accent of the day in which to speak, and anxiously awaits the moment her superpowers will be revealed. She is hoping these will include time travel, flying, and breathing underwater. Lana aspires to be discovered as the direct heir to the throne of England, although she has been verified as a 3rd generation descendant of the Irish and German peoples. As long as she is alive and awake, she will write to live and live to write, hopefully with a crown upon her head.
