What do you love most about your family and/or friends?

I love how supportive and encouraging my family and friends have been towards me and my goals throughout my life. I am so grateful for my support system!

What undergraduate and graduate degrees do you have? 

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Why law school and why Brandeis?

I have always known that I wanted to go to law school. I see this career path as an ocean of opportunities that ignites and encourages change and development throughout communities. I was drawn to Brandeis because I felt that the school could provide a learning experience that would allow me to hone in on my interests and be that agent of change as I continue into my legal career.

How have you changed since your 1L year?

I have changed so much since 1L year! I have grown, experienced many new things, and have learned so many valuable lessons that I’ll be able to carry with me throughout my career. I also cut my bangs! 

In addition to getting into the UofL Brandeis School of Law, what are you most proud of and why?

I’m most proud of the fact that I am from West by God Virginia! To be a West Virginian is to be tenacious, proud, and to have true grit. Every day I am so proud to be a representative of these qualities and my beautiful home state.

How do you define Inclusive? How do you define Excellence?

I would define Inclusive as being readily and openly available to aid in any and all opportunities or problems being presented by others from marginalized groups. Inclusivity is an avenue for growth and opportunity and should be actively practiced.

I would define Excellence as living up to your values and morals while working to achieve your goals. “Excellence is not a gift, but a skill that takes practice.” - Plato

What is your professional goal for five years from now?

My professional goal in five years from now is to be settled into a practice area that I love and to then begin my endeavor of opening my own law firm.
