As the Assistant Dean of Administration, Elana reports directly to the Dean and serves as the lead financial manager for the School. The Assistant Dean is responsible for oversight of all aspects of daily financial and administrative operations of the Kent School, including, but not limited to accounting, budgeting, purchasing/procurement, payroll, facilities management, and business operations. This position serves as an integral part of the management team of the School and key to development, implementation, and support of strategic planning initiatives, budgeting and forecasting, providing financial performance analytics, and identifying key financial metrics for initiatives considered for implementation.
Elana and the team of the Kent Business Center strive to provide great customer service and financial and administrative support for Kent business activities and processes.
Nacetia Burke - Financial Coordinator, Sr. - (502) 852-7418
This position serves as a fiscal manager within the Kent Business Center in coordination and management of payroll and position management functions for the unit, including Adjunct Faculty contracts and payments. This position merges the interaction between payroll and position attributes to coordinate seemless processes for our faculty and staff. This position is responsible for the overall initiation of financial transactions for the unit, and assists Faculty and Staff with travel arrangements and/or expense reporting.

This position serves as a fiscal manager within the Kent Business Center to facilitate management of grants, general funds, gifts and endowments, and other funding sources. Provide accounting and project management oversight for financial activities and financial oversight for Principal Investigators, program directors, and research and support staff.

Debra Evans - Technology Consultant IV - (502) 852-6566
In this role, Debra manages all information technology initiatives for the Kent School of Social Work to include technology planning, directing implementation of new technologies, working with vendors on procuring new software, and hardware acquisition. This role provides strategic advice on using technology to achieve user goals and collaborates with central information technology unit on uniform compliance. Debra also provides guidance to faculty, staff, and students regarding technology matters.

This position is the fiscal manager for the Kent School Center for Community and Family Well-Being (CFCWB) with an advisory role to the Center Director and Center staff regarding university policies and procedures related to service center administration. This position will also serve as the fiscal manager within the Kent Business Center to facilitate management of grants, general funds, gifts and endowments, and other funding sources. Provide accounting and project management oversight for financial activities and financial oversight for Principal Investigators, program directors, and research and support staff.

Tammy Spencer - Unit Business Manager, Sr. - (502) 852-3934
This position is the Human Resources coordinator for the Kent School of Social Work and provides supervisory oversight of payroll and position management activities. This position also serves as the technical expert for accounting, project management, and billing databases for the unit and provides interface to improve functionality with vendor programmers and central university departments. Direct coordination of BA functionality and troubleshooting with senior level staff in University Central Business Operations.
