Pay Structure and Salary Ranges

Sidebar

Pay structures are designed to support consistent, equitable and competitive compensation practices across the university. Each position is assigned to a pay range based on job responsibilities, required qualifications and market data.

Salary ranges typically include a minimum, midpoint and maximum. The minimum represents entry-level or developing employees, the midpoint reflects employees who are fully proficient in their role and the maximum represents highly experienced or specialized employees.

These ranges are used to guide hiring decisions, promotional increases and salary adjustments. Individual pay within a range may vary based on experience, performance, internal equity and market conditions.

Employees can access information about their pay range and job details through university systems. If you have questions about how your pay aligns within a range, your HR Business Partner can provide guidance.
