Accreditation & Academic Planning
The Accreditation and Academic Programs function includes the coordination of all institutional and discipline-specific accreditation processes. This mission includes working with each unit on program-level accreditation and seeking external recognition or certification where possible. The unit will collect and maintain data on all accreditations, educational affiliations, and tuition agreements including the Academic Common Market. The unit will disseminate information on the accreditation, coordinate the academic program approval and review process, and on a regular basis complete the necessary reports to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Council on Postsecondary Education and others as required.
