I’m from Sheffield, AL. Although I was not born there, I grew up and went to school there. I have two younger brothers, one of whom is also pursuing medicine. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, watching Tennessee Titans football, reading, and trying to close the rings on my Apple Watch.
The complexity of the human brain fascinated me from an early age, and as I came to understand the role that we as physicians could have in treating it and further understanding it, the field became too hard to turn away from. UofL felt very friendly during the interview process, and my early impression of the city is great. The program is diverse and of ideal size. I’m open to exploring the many specialties neurology has to offer, but I am interested in movement and cognition.
