Are you interested in learning more about the field of couple/marriage and family therapy? If so, the Kent School of Social Work's Couple and Family Therapy Program, might be what you are looking for in a Graduate Education. Our COAMFTE accredited CFT program is now a separate Masters of Science in Couple and Family Therapy (MSCFT). Our MSCFT program meets educational requirements for Clinical Membership in AAMFT and licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Kentucky.The MSCFT program is offered as an on-campus 2 year program and the new dual degree MSCFT/MSSW is offered as either a 2 year or 3 year program. This unique 2-3 year MSCFT/MSSW Masters program offers dual, competency-based training toward both LMFT and Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) professional licensure and is accredited by both COAMFTE and CSWE.  We are no admitting students to the MSCFT degree program.  Please attend one of the info sessions below for more information.


CFT Virtual Prospective Student Sessions

Please join us for one of the on-line CFT Prospective Student sessions and hear from a CFT faculty member about the unique, social-justice-focused clinical training offered by the Couple and Family Therapy Program in the Kent School of Social Work. We also will discuss opportunities to specialize in Alcohol/Drug Counseling or to receive a dual masters degree in social work and CFT in this one of a kind program.

  • Thursday, 9/24, at 5:30pm
  • Thursday, 10/8, at 5:30pm
  • Monday, 10/26, at 5:30pm
  • Thursday, 11/19, at 5:30pm
