The Information Security Compliance Office serves as the University's resource for guidance on information security compliance.

Overview

The Information Security Compliance Office (ISCO) serves as the university's resource for guidance on information security compliance and administers the university's information security compliance program. The ISCO oversees information security policies and standards; provides compliance oversight, and risk assessments; coordinates information security efforts, incident response and user awareness. Reporting to the Vice President for Risk, Audit, and Compliance, the ISCO works in conjunction with IT Enterprise Security, Audit Services, Institutional Compliance and officials in compliance areas such as GLBA, HIPAA, FERPA, PCI and Export Controls to maintain regulatory compliance and to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of University information assets.

Anonymous reporting of any compliance violation or suspected incident can be reported via the 24-Hour Compliance Hotline at 1-877-852-1167.

 

UofL Cyber Security Initiative

The department of Computer Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) in the J.B. Speed School of Engineering, and the department of Computer Information Systems (CIS) in the College of Business have established the CSI as a focal center for collaboration on cyber security across disciplines at the University of Louisville.We offer cyber security programs in the Computer Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) department in the J.B. Speed School of Engineering, and in the Computer Information Systems (CIS) department in the College of Business. The CECS program offers a graduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering with a focus area in cybersecurity, while the CIS program offers an undergraduate degree with a focus area in information security.
