Philosophy BA with concentration in Social Sciences
All of the social sciences have their origins in Philosophy. Students who pursue the BA in Philosophy with Concentration in Social Science learn to rigorously question, and work to improve, the social institutions we inhabit and the methods we use to understand and evaluate them. Because the supporting courses come from disciplines in the Social Sciences division, such as Sociology, Political Science, and beyond, this concentration is particularly accessible for students who are double-majoring in a a social science discipline. The Philosophy courses provide perspectives on social scientific methods and the knowledge we can gain from them, and on the values that we seek to foster in our social institutions.
