Journal of Clinical Ethics 34 #4 features work by Romero & Schuman
UofL Philosophy major Haven Gabrielle Romero is now a professional published author! In research conducted under the supervision of Dr. Olivia Schuman, Haven investigated the use of patient quotations in medical charts. The results of their research have now appeared in the Journal of Clinical Ethics. Their study used the occasion of the 2021 Twenty-first Century Cures Act, which requires doctors' notes to be available to patients, as an opportunity to support physicians in reflecting on their charting practices.
