Learning Assessment
UofL administers the CAAP critical thinking and writing modules to incoming freshmen and outgoing seniors. The critical thinking and writing modules are administered every other year on a rotational basis.
The Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP) is a standardized, nationally normed assessment program from ACT. IE administers the Critical Thinking and Writing Essay assessments to both our first-year and senior student populations. Data from the CAAP are reported on for SACS reaffirmation and are also used to assess student proficiency in these critical areas.
