William L. Hoge III ('72) retires after 45 years of practice
William L. Hoge III, a 1972 graduate of the Brandeis School of Law and a founding member of Hoge Partners, retired after 45 years of practice.
During his career, Hoge served as assistant Jefferson County attorney, chief prosecutor for Jefferson County, general counsel to the International Union of Electrical Workers, Local 761 at General Electric and general counsel to the Kentucky State District Council of Carpenters, AFL-CIO.
Since 1991, he concentrated his private practice on family law. Her previously served as president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and was a former chair of the Family Law Sections for both the Kentucky and Louisville bar associations.
He was the recipient of the LBA's Judge Richard A. Revell Family Law Award in 1999 and the "Raising the Bar" Award from the Kentucky AAML Chapter in 2007.
