3L student wins national fellowship

3L student Andi Dahmer has been awarded a fellowship from the Ms. JD organization, a group that promotes women in the legal profession and provides a forum for dialogue and networking among women lawyers and law students in all arenas of the legal profession. Dahmer is one of 12 law students in the United States named a Fellow.

The fellowship program promotes mentoring and professional development to women law students. Fellows are selected based on academic performance, leadership and dedication to advancing the status of women in the legal profession.

“We are thrilled that Andi Dahmer was chosen for this honor,” said Brandeis School of Law Dean Melanie B. Jacobs. “Andi is an outstanding student leader who will assuredly be an excellent attorney. This prestigious Ms. JD fellowship is well deserved recognition of her commitment to her fellow students and service to the entire law school community.”

Dahmer is incoming president of the Student Bar Association at Brandeis School of Law; serves in the American Bar Association Law Student Division Assembly; and is a law student at-large on the American Bar Association Board of Governors. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Western Kentucky University with a quadruple major in economics, international affairs, Spanish and Asian religions and cultures. She is scheduled to graduate in May 2025.

"I am so honored to have been selected as a 2025 Ms. JD Fellow. Many thanks to the incredible faculty and staff at Brandeis who encouraged me to apply,” Dahmer said. “I cannot wait to join this esteemed fellowship cohort and work together to advance the status of women in the legal profession."
