Two Brandeis graduates receive Leadership Awards from Jewish Community of Louisville
Ross Cohen (2004) and Scott Weinberg (2000), both Brandeis School of Law graduates, have received Leadership Awards from the Jewish Community of Louisville Inc.
Cohen is an attorney with Bingham Greenebaum Doll. He is co-chair of the federal tax team in the firm and also served as chair of the Louisville Bar Association’s Tax Section and chair and offier of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Tax Section.
He has volunteered for the Jewish Federation in Louisville and works on the JCL’s bylaws on an ongoing basis.
Weinberg is a partner at Lynch, Cox, Gilman and Goodman where he does estate planning, business organizations work and tax work. He is also licensed in Florida and is helping to grow the firm’s presence in that state.
According to JCL’s publication, Community, Weinberg is interested in starting a new Jewish Day School in Louisville. He is vice president of operations at Keneseth Israel Congregation and president-elect. He is also a member of the Jewish Community Relations Council.
