Sannie Overly, Class of '93, listed among 'Top Women in Business'
Sannie Overly, a 1993 graduate of the Brandeis School of Law, has been listed among the "Top Women in Business" for 2015 by Kentucky's The Lane Report. Overly is House Majority Caucus Chair, State Representative 72nd District, partner at Overly & Johnson law firm, and candidate, Kentucky Lieutenant Governor (running mate with Jack Conway, Democrat).
Overly has been with the Kentucky General Assembly for eight years and has owned her own business for the past 14 years.
In the publication, she said she wants to make Kentucky "a place where everybody has the opportunity to succeed academically, economically and personally. I stay involved locally and statewide politically to help make it a place where our children are confident they can live safely and happily, where they want to stay and raise a family, and prosper if they are willing to work hard and play by the rules."
Her advice to younger women in business is to be both confident and fearless.
