Prof. Maynard attended Economics Institute for Law Professors
Along with about 30 other scholars from around the globe, Prof. Goldburn P. Maynard Jr. attended the Thirty-Second Economics Institute for Law Professors this month.
A program of George Mason University School of Law's Law & Economics Center, the institute is geared toward law professors with little to no previous formal education in economics.
Through the 12-day institute, the professors "enhance their understanding of economics and broaden their analytical tools in order to introduce greater economic sophistication and policy relevance to their professional work," according to the institute's website.
"The law and economics tools I have acquired will be helpful to my students as it presents another approach to solving legal issues," said Maynard, who teaches courses on taxation, gratuitous transfers and elder law.
