Prof. Santry to discuss legal efforts to protect women against violence
Brandeis School of Law Professor Shelley Santry will draw on her experience as a prosecutor and director of the law school's Ackerson Law Clinic when she presents at the August 2017 meeting of the Louisville Coalition for CEDAW.
The local group works to end all forms of discrimination against women, including domestic violence, workplace discrimination and unequal access to health care and education.
Santry represented low-income clients in civil cases for the Legal Aid Society from 1992-2001. She joined the Jefferson County Attorney's Office in 2001 and joined the Brandeis Law faculty in 2009.
The meeting is August 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bon Air Public Library, 2816 Del Rio Place.
