Prof. Marcosson weighs in on Kentucky judge's decision to recuse himself from same-sex adoption cases

Brandeis Law Professor Sam Marcosson was quoted in a May 1, 2017, article in The New York Times about a Kentucky judge who has recused himself from adoption cases involving gay or lesbian parents "as a matter of conscience."

"What we have is a judge who has made a record of his inability to be a fair and impartial judge for a whole class of citizens who are entitled to have a fair and impartial judge,” says Marcosson in the article. "It raises serious problems about his fitness for office going forward."
