A column that Associate Law Library Director Kurt Metzmeier wrote for a Louisville publication has taken off nationwide.
"Manafort and Me… or the Manafort you do not know" was published by LEO Weekly and on August 4, 2017, was referenced in a blog post, "We're Back to Manafort," published by online political news outlet Talking Points Memo.
Metzmeier's LEO column outlines his graduate thesis research about U.S. foreign policy, especially as it related to the competition of American and Soviet policy in Africa during the Cold War. During that research, he frequently encountered the work of Paul Manafort, who was Donald Trump's presidential campaign manager and is now being investigated for possible collusion with Russia.
