Law librarian Campbell publishes updated version of famous speech
To celebrate the centennial of the last printing of a well-known speech by a Louisville lawyer, Brandeis Law's Scott Campbell has published an updated version of the piece in The Green Bag.
Campbell is technical services librarian for the Brandeis Law Library.
The article is a reprint of a speech by Louisville attorney Byron Bacon, who was also a one-time law partner of Louis D. Brandeis’s uncle Lewis Dembitz. Campbell has provided footnotes that provide background information to present-day readers of the speech.
In the speech, Bacon gives lighthearted advice for attorneys who must inform their clients that they have lost a case.
