Lars Smith selected for Leadership Louisville
Lars Smith, associate dean for academic affairs and Samuel J. Stallings Professor of Law, has been selected as part of the Leadership Louisville Class of 2017.
Leadership Louisville is the flagship program of the Leadership Louisville Center. The 10-month program brings together established leaders in the community who want to better understand the people and issues driving Louisville's future.
"The biggest dividend comes in the form of social capital as they network with people in diverse circles, increasing their capacity to influence change and innovate the way we do business," according to the program's website.
Smith is one of 60 members of the Class of 2017.
"I am looking forward to learning more about the Louisville community and engaging with the other participants," he said. "The class consists of a wide variety of people, from both large and small companies, professional firms, nonprofits, colleges and the city. I hope to be able to use my experience as a springboard for building connections in the Louisville community."
