Joseph Landenwich ('91) named General Counsel of Kindred Healthcare

Joseph L. Landenwich, a 1991 Brandeis School of Law graduate, has been named General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Kindred Healthcare Inc. He will assume the role following the retirement of M. Suzanne Riedman, General Counsel and Chief Diversity Officer, effective Jan. 31.

According to a press release from the company, Landenwich has served as co-General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since May 2012. He joined the company in 1996 and was named Corporate Secretary in November 1999.

“Joe’s tireless dedication, expert legal advice and professional counsel during his tenure with Kindred have been instrumental in our strategic growth and development,” CEO and President Benjamin A. Breier said in the release. “This promotion also recognizes his invaluable leadership in the development efforts of the company and oversight of all our corporate legal functions over many years, as well as his steady counsel to me and the other members of the senior leadership team.”
