Brandeis Human Rights Advocacy Project hosting panel on refugee crisis
The Brandeis Human Rights Advocacy Project, along with The American Constitution Society, will present "Fleeing Conflict: Refugees & Migrants of Syria and Central America," on January 26 from 12-2 p.m. in Room 275 at Brandeis School of Law.
The event will include a panel presentation about refugees and migrants fleeing conflict. Student fellows will present a critical examination of the news coverage, terminology and rhetoric about who is a deserving refugee or migrant. The program will also feature a discussion about the failure of international law to address the Syrian crisis, as well as the flaws in the U.S. government’s response to Central American migrants.
