Brandeis connections were strong at 2016 KBA convention
Brandeis connections abounded at the 2016 Kentucky Bar Association Annual Convention, held in Louisville May 11-13.
Several faculty members presented at the conference:
- Dean Susan Duncan: Diversity and Inclusion Best Practices for Legal Employers: A Conversation with the President of the American Bar Association
- Professor Grace Giesel: The KBA Ethics Committee: A Panel Discussion
- Professor Laura Rothstein with Howard Fineman and Melvin Urofsky: Louis D. Brandeis, Kentucky Roots – 100 Years Later
Duncan also was awarded the KBA's President’s Special Service Award.
“Susan was the obvious choice for the award and everyone supported my decision," said KBA President Doug Farnsley, himself a Brandeis alumnus ('76). "She is doing a great job as dean of the law school. She is also a highly effective leader in the organized bar."
Professor Les Abramson was on the convention planning committee.
