Linguistics
The Department of Comparative Humanities currently offers the following programs in Linguistics:
- Humanities Major (BA), with a Track in Linguistics
- Linguistics Minor
- Humanities MA, with a Track in Linguistics and the Humanities
Discourse and Semiotics Workshop
Founded in 2016 by faculty and graduate students in English and Comparative Humanities, the Discourse and Semiotics Workshop series provides an intimate, interdisciplinary forum for faculty and students to share work at any stage of the research process on how language and other semiotic resources mediate social worlds. Faculty and student presenters come from such fields as anthropology, art and design, English, geography, linguistics, literary studies, rhetoric and composition, and Spanish.
