Dr. Adams is an Assistant Professor who teaches literature and literary theory in the English Department. His research and teaching encompass poetry and poetics, literature and philosophy, literary theory, comparative literature, ideas of the self, and American literature since 1865. A former editor of Chicago Review, he is also a poet, critic, and translator whose work has appeared in Literary Imagination, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Modern Philology, nonsite, The FSG Book of Twentieth Century Italian Poetry, Harvard Review, Tupelo Quarterly, Miracle Monocle, and elsewhere.
