Deborah Lutz publishes Norton edition of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Professor Deborah Lutz, Morton Endowed Chair in the English Department, has edited a newly published Norton Critical Edition of Robert Louis Stevenson's Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (Norton, 2020). Her extensive introduction, annotations, description of manuscript sources, and selections of primary and secondary sources ground the novella in the history of LGBTQ+ identity, socio-economic class, urbanism, racism, and more. Professor Lutz is the author of The Brontë Cabinet and Relics of Death in Victorian Literature and Culture, among other works.
